This was better than his most recent book. I liked his outlook and that there wasn't too much Christianity thrown in. Lots of good advice for entrepreneurs and those in search or working towards their dream job.

Jon Acuff wrote "Stuff Christians Like" which was hilarious. This book was helpful because it doesn't promise you your dream just around the corner. I find myself flipping through my bookmarks and highlights often, just to get some encouragement. It's for anyone who describes themselves as "I'm a ____ but I want to be a _____."

Essential DNF
I skimmed the majority of it because there are too many life stories. I just can't with a book full of only unrelatable life stories.

“More often than not, finding out what you love doing most is about recovering an old love or an inescapable truth that has been silenced for years, even decades. When you come to your dream job, your thing, it is rarely a first encounter. It's usually a reunion.”
–Jon Acuff
I usually feel pretty confident in knowing what I'm going to get with Jon Acuff's stuff- and in a good way. Quitter was no exception.
The book was light reading, practical advice, and humorous tellings all in one very digestible package. Perfect reading for a quick jolt of career direction.

An ironically titled quick read with a good linear format that takes the reader through a solid system for working your dream job while holding the day job. The author encourages the reader to be true to your dreams, but don't lose sight of practical matters. He sights his personal experience throughout the book.
To sum up: this dream career stuff is hard, sometimes difficult, but if you want to live on more than food stamps while chasing your yet-to-be-paid ideal work, keep your day-job until the absolute last possible moment and fit your dream work in around your day work.

Some good gems from this. Read it forever ago and recently picked up to document my highlights.

Way too redundant. I felt like I was reading the same thing over and over again. He was making really good points, just emphasized them one too many times.
