Some parts were 2.5-3 for me. But several ideas and lines were wonderful. I met in the middle for my rating.

So I should observe the sabbath and be a minimalist. Also meditate. I wonder if his wife gets to take off a day of month to just be with her thoughts.

This book presents some interesting ideas... I wasn't aware of the strongly biblical slant, but I further probably didn't embrace the concepts by listening to the book at two times speed...

Very helpful and practical. Easy to read. Comer helps us consider the "time-sickness" our culture has been busy monetizing and shaping us in, and how 4 practices (sabbath, slowing, simplicity and silence/solitude) can help us resist this tendency.

This book is so profound!! I love JMC’s writing style & realness. Going through this book with a small group this semester was life-giving! Hoping to implement many of the practices laid out in this book in reverence to God.
