I was annoyed in the first part because I picked this up as a quick read not knowing I'd have to translate from a fictional slang language...but it started making sense and became very interesting and delved into lot of deeper meanings. Also...let's talk about how unsettling it is to read old dystopian books that have close parallels with present day!

Hard to follow because of the Russian slang, was quite boring too and obviously no character was likeable.

Amazing, amazing novel. Burgess's invention and use of language is incredible. It takes a little getting used to but reading the novel is worth the effort. The larger story, about whether or not human beings are programmable like a clockwork engine is fascinating.

I can see why people like it but it is not for me.
