God, I loved it! I originally only bought this to get free shipping on a B&N order and it was 50% off. I love the movie Labyrinth, so I bought it. The illustrations are gorgeous and I adore the story. Can’t wait for the next volume!

As a fan of the movie I was excited to discover this graphic novel, and to learn more about the Goblin King and how he came to be in his current position. Unfortunately volume one has not inspired me to carry on with the series.

The story finds us following another young woman entering the Labyrinth in search of her baby that has been taken by the current Goblin King. I had hoped that Jareth would be the main character (rather than his mother), but other then that there wasn't anything particularity wrong with the story or the writing; just nothing I felt particularly invested in either. The magic just wasn't there.

What a delightful read! Labyrinth has been with me since my youth, and to find that the story was expanded upon piqued my curiosity.
