Rebecca Zanetti has truly become such a favorite of mine. And she writes so many different sub genres of romance. My favorites are her paranormal romance, but I really enjoyed this look into her more straight contemporary romance. From what I can tell, it may even be her first published work. In some ways that was obvious, as the story didn’t flow quite as smoothly as I expect from her, but the overall feeling of the story was spot on.

Jake and his family are going to be tons of fun. They have their serious moments and serious issues, but they know how to have fun. They are a passionate family. They love hard, work hard, and play hard. It’s all a bit overwhelming for Sophie, who didn’t have much of a family. She can’t help but be drawn in by them, yet feel as though she needs to keep her distance. She doesn’t know how to be loved unconditionally. But Jake sets out to show her just that.

I can’t wait to read the stories of the rest of the Lodge family and their inner circle of friends.
