in the past few volumes of tams there have been two major mysteries which served as a general background: who is leaving the spider-tracers on murdered people? and who is this "menace" really? both are solved in the issues collected here

- about the spider tracers: so we find out that vin, aka peter's roomie, has been the one tampering crime scenes, helped by one of his colleagues. i think it made enough sense, cops have always hated our beloved wall-crawler and on top of that they have proven more than once (both in fiction and in real life) how corrupt they can get. especially consdering this last point, i loved carlie! now /that/ is how a person who's supposedely responsable for holding up the laws should act. i do however feel like she forgave vin way too quickly, and in general his redemption was too fast-paced
- about menace's real identity: i was kinda shocked when it was revealed that lily was menace. i don't think they gave her good enough reasons to become like that though? idk i wasn't really convinced with her backstory and with her revealing the truth to harry, being outed on live television and being arrested all in a few issues if felt like everything went by too quickly

+ loved the final speech between peter and harry. their friendship really is quite dear to me :)

This was such a great volume and deals witht he crazy election day in NYC between Bill and Randall and how Spidey is fighting Menace and that leads him to being arrested because of the recent Spider-tracer killings and he goes to prison and meanwhile we learn who Menace is and that origin is shocking but the way its done is brilliant and I love the idea of who it is and Harry's reaction to it. Plus we follow Spidey in the prison and how he deals with the inmates and when a couple of police officers get framed by "the real spider-tracer killers" its a sight to behold as Peter has to save them and also fight Menace and clear his name and these incidents will have a massive effect on the elections going forward!

I loved this story and it deals with Peter trying to find out of a way of being framed and then finally learn who his new nemesis Menace is and I was taken aback by who it was and the way their thought process was brilliant. That was a great angle and loving what Harry's reaction was and this changes things in ASM brilliantly and its also a meta commentary on the way elections are manipulated through sympathy and all and I love in the end how Pete meets Obama which was a fun and unexpected crossover!

Apart from it I loved the writing full of meta commentary and showing the political stories in Spider-man and the art was great for the most part considering its JRJR and well I am not the biggest fan of him but here he really shined the way he did fight and action sequences and showing so many different angles in the story. Plus its not always seeing Spidey save Vin and Carlie! Things getting exciting now.
