Wonderful. That truly sums this one up in a single word. I was a bit nervous about reading a story in which one of the MCs is a slave - the idea of a forced relationship isn't something I'm too keen on reading - but this one really surprised me. I found myself connecting with the characters and the story, and it really turned out to be a bit of an emotional roller coaster. And even though I saw the ending coming, I really, really was hoping for it to turn out differently. Guess that just means I'll need to pick up the next book to hope everything changes...

It was so amazingly good that not only did I stay up until 2:30am to finish it but I bought the other two books in the series immediately after finishing it.

I liked the developing relationship, but not a fan of cliffhangers. It would have gotten at least a 3 if there had been some resolution and not a big "what happens next"

These books broke my heart!!

It took me a LONG time to warm up to Jason but I love books where the fact that they are both men is not even remotely the issue, but that there are so much bigger overriding factors working against them.

Well done, Kale is a lovely human being. I cried, and that is a true test of immersion for me.

These were beautifully written, and easy to get into.
