Very fun read that was not what I expected. I like the take on demons and how that played out in the book, even tho some parts had me rolling my eyes or scratching my head. Not enough to detract from my enjoyment though

Excellent look at religious homophobia and the horrors of conversion therapy that centers a character at a surprising point in her relationship to her queerness. Some of the lore didn't quite make sense, but that was okay. I loved how Rose's autism came through in the writing style. It was very friendly to me as an autistic reader.

This is without a doubt my favorite book. I'm amazed by the amount of joy and horror in this book, as well as how relatable it was. The religious trauma is relatable and Rose is relatable and when Rose is not relatable, Saul is relatable. As horror filled as this book was, it also allows a kind of healing to someone who always knew they weren't cis or straight and spent most of their life in a deep fear of what that meant when it came to the welfare of their soul. Books like this are absolutely needed and is beautiful proof in print that love is indeed real and powerful.

The good Dr. Tingle proves love is real yet again. It’s nice to see someone dive into the deep horror of a mega church in an evangelical small town.

Pretty solid! Love the boyband scene. I wish there would have been more of an ending.
