I enjoyed Reading this book so much. I usually do Not enjoy books that have any romance in ot, even If its only hinted at. I usually feel Like it Takes away from everything Else.
But in this Case I enjoyed it so much. It wasn' t the Main Plot and it didn't feel rushed, the Pasing was beautiful and it Just felt real!
And Well I also Just fell absolutely in Love with Tristan. I Just found the Characters lovely in general.

My main complaint about this book was the lack of punctuation. There were NO quotation marks and no question marks. What that did was make the reader live completely inside Allegra’s head. It was quite melancholy there, and frankly, boring. By the time the major incident of the story happens, I still wasn’t interested in where it was my going. I couldn’t force myself to read any more.

this was overall an okay read. definitely not my favorite book by cecelia ahern, even though it was different. the format was jarring but i got used to it. my main complaint is the pacing, the book dragged in parts that were unnecessary and i really wasn't enjoying it at too many parts of the story, sadly. still a good read though and fans of cecelia ahern and unconventional formats would like it!

I enjoyed the overall message of this book but I found it a little lacking for me and would give this 2.5 stars. I think the philosophical idea of the five people closest to you in your life inspiring you is a cool idea that I’ve never thought of before, but in the context of this book I found it quite a depressing idea. Allegra, the main character, even by the end, has quite a contrived list of five. Her dad is the only true person on the list, and the rest are slight friends bordering on acquaintances. However, I do think that with Allegra realising that she does have people in her life, they will all make more effort in strengthening their relationships.

I found it hard to connect with the characters in this book as I feel like a lot of information was left quite vague and open-ended. Allegra seems to come across quite rude and detached to others, is she maybe autistic and neurodivergent? In which case, I’d have liked to have read about people treating her more kindly and helping her understand rather than condescend her behaviour. Is her Pops struggling with an illness that is causing his confusion? I found Tristan, or rather ‘Rooster’ the youtuber, an odd character that I felt didn’t match the rest of the book and found their relationship was slightly forced. Allegra’s mother not wanting to know her at all either wasn’t explained fully either and angered me. How can she have such harsh feelings towards the child she’s never really met? I understand that she may have negative feelings towards Pops, but surely Allegra is innocent in this?

I don’t think I will reach for this book again. Oddly enough, it is also another book that is completely lacking in speech marks, which I dislike and detaches me from the story as I need to work out if someone is speaking or if Allegra (the narrator) is thinking.
