This was a great read! I read this book while on holiday in Sri Lanka and would definitely have read it in one sitting if that would have been possible with my itinerary. (It wasn't so I finished it in two sittings). The books is really humorous and a very quick and light read, while it also gives some food for thought.

The narrator's voice is extremely cynical and ironic, which at times can be funny but can end up being sexist or just fuelled with hate in general, which I found was a shame, given the fact that the narrator is a man. However I found episodes of his trip to India such as the consequences of his food poisoning, and his dialogue with Liz (two very different people clashing on the activities to do in India) very entertaining and that's why I wouldn't give this book a 3/5.

It was completely dull. It had some funny moments, yeah, but they were few. And there was no character development at all. Stupid required reading -.-

Started out hilarious, but the end was kind of lame. It felt like the charachter hadn't undergone any development, but maybe that was the point of the book or something? Eh.
