5.0

Torin and Kade two ex-military types who now run the O'Connor Inc detective agency are hired to find a woman by a powerful industrialist Andrew Carlton. He just wants to talk. But neither have a good feeling about him and Kade gut instincts are supernaturally sharp but an old pain won't let him drop this case.

Heather is a midwife who just wants to be left alone to help those who women who have no one else to help them give birth but Heather's help comes with a cost to herself and others and as a result, she is skilled at running and becoming someone else.

When Kade and Heather meet they are touched by something stronger than either hoped for or expected. But Mr Carlton wants more than a chat and will stop at nothing to get Heather.

It's a delight to return to Aiki Flinthart's world of urban fantasy of Ruadhan Sidhe which we discovered in Shadows Wake, Shadows Band, and Shadows Fate, and now Healing Heather. If you haven't read these tales of Celtic sorcery in the modern age fear not as the author has a self-contained tale where you can jump right in, the world is a big place after all. Those who have read these tales will be pleasantly surprised by the two previous characters who join the story.

Hopefully, this tale will bring even more readers to this wonderful series.
