This is one of my favorite books, ever. It’s a beautifully illustrated treatise on books. Books and their authors and the places they are sold, stored, and loved.

"Bibliophile" is so pretty. I liked the variety of lists and topics. It's a lovely snapshot of great books of the world and all the spaces book lovers love.

In case you are looking for reading recommendations, then, this book about books will enthral you. You can skip the genres you aren't interested in from the content page and then make your way to whichever genre you like.

This book rightly affirms that its goal is to magnify or expand your to-be-read list in the few hours you need to invest in this book.

This book is a wonderful homage to all things bookish. And not just to the information and stories that books convey but to books as a physical medium - to their design, to the places where we find them, to the people who create them and to how they shape our lives. Think of it as a tasting menu at a nice restaurant - you will not be satiated by any one dish, but you will certainly come away knowing what you want more of. It's a fast and fun read with some excellent illustrations to boot. Highly recommended.

3.5 stars, rounded up. I didn't really know what to expect from this book. It seems like a carefully curated mishmash of book-related things with illustrations throughout. I enjoyed it, and her love of books really shone through her illustrations.

She was right: I did end up adding a lot of her suggestions to my "want to read" list just based on the little tidbits she included about the featured authors and books.
