Another light hearted "mystery" for Stephanie Plum. These stories are so....mild, but also random, that I keep going back. I enjoy the bombings and silly things that happen to Stephanie. Her funeral crazed, wishes to carry a gun grandma, the random men that keep appearing in her life, and her ridiculous idea of detective work.....some of it is a bit dated, but it is good to escape series literature and lengthy books about linguistics.
This time she is in search of her great uncle(relative) who disappeared and along the way she ends up with a man living in her apartment.

Read if you need a break.

Popsugar 2020: A book with a pun in the title (maybe a stretch?- I am so bad at puns!)

Crazy stuff happens arround Stephani Plum and this book is no exception. Good cars don't last in her hands, lust rushes around and there is, as always, a galery of secondary characters all vivid and fun. There's more of Lula, of Morelli, of Ranger and of Mary Lou. But there are also new characters that add up to the galery, and there is a come back, Benito Ramirez.
Stephanie is fun even when she's scared. She's over the top and has reactions I would have never thought about. Quick and fun read to take real life off my head for a while.

Much better! I don’t mind that the main character has the hots for a guy or even two. I just don’t need the explicit detail of her every encounter. I’m a big fan of the slow burn and definitely got it here. Plus even though the mystery was super involved, I never lost sight of who each character was.

FIRST LINE REVIEW: "When I was a little girl I used to dress Barbie up without underpants." Yeah...it's that kind of series. Why do I waste my time reading these every couple years? Such crap, but sometimes it makes for a nice, mindless change of pace. But this one had to be a new low. I'm done! Even though it's set across the river from where I live!
