A Game of Malice and Greed by Caroline Peckham, Susanne Valenti

I read the prequel and it was great. Kyra was a bad a**… this first book is good but close to the halfway point and I am feeling bored. I even read the last chapter to see what happened. Firstly Kyra feels like a fifth of herself than the character I saw in the prequel and yes we can attribute that to the thousands of years that passed but still, it’s a throw-off. At first, I was interested in all the POVs but they are seemingly beginning to look one-dimensional, especially Cassius and Drake. I may return and finish this at a later time but I don’t want to force myself now.

DNF at 20%

I really wanted to love this, but couldn’t force myself to sit and read through 400 more pages of the inner thoughts of each character.

Very Entertaining

I’m giving this story 4.5 stars ⭐️ ⭐️⭐️⭐️

This is a Aladdin retelling. This is book 1 of Caroline Peckham and Susanne Valenti’s newest series and does end on a cliffhanger. I really enjoyed this story but I did feel that it was a little too long. I took half a star away for that one thing. I understand that this is a new series and the authors are building the world. I’m very interested to see what happens in the next book.

3.5⭐️ Good but not great. Dragged on at certain points and I'm not super invested in any of the characters or potential relationships yet. Lots of world building and setting up plot for the rest of the series so I'm hopeful for the next one. Not their best though

Twisted Sisters are at it again

I can’t say anything else other than the twisted sisters are back at if with the heart wrenching cliffhanger endings. I didn’t not see that ending coming!! So this book too me longer to read than expect due to personal issues however I honestly got lost in this world every time I picked up this book! Can’t wait to see what happens now! The twisted sisters never disappoint- there is always adventure, love, need and heartbreak. Character and world building is amazing as always.
