This was such a fun idea for a thriller! I didn't guess the twist until about half way which for me is a massive win and made it even more compelling a read. I'll definitely be picking up more of this author's work as this was great! I loved the writing style and the commentary on violence was a good shout. Really enjoyed this

A nice'n'easy read - a missing husband, a serial killer on the loose and a detective keen to join up the dots. Enjoy it for what it is - a thriller with a zippy plot, a twist and a happy ending. If one was being picky one could question the detective's determination that there was only one solution to the crime, some of the meanderings of the narrative and the mildly saccharin ending - but hey, sometimes you need a whodunnit - and this is perfect.

Quite repetitive - there are pints that don't need to be told twice but go on a bit.

Also the side plots didn't add much and just made the book longer than it needed to be.

This is perfectly entertaining and kept me engaged. This is my first read by this author but definitely wont be the last. Haven’t been able to put this one down.

Was overall good however around the middle it was dragging on repeating what we already had read it needed to be sped up a little bit.

I devoured this book like I have devoured her previous books. This one kept me on my toes, and actually made me extremely uncomfortable and anxious. It made me FEEL things and I almost had nightmares over it.

I would have never anticipated the ending or the twist of this book, I really thought that the wife (Gemma) or the cousin was the serial killer, not the man that was missing

Decent Thriller

For a book I got for free through Kindle unlimited, this wasn’t bad. I like to read a good “light” thriller or crime book often and this gave me that fix. Some of the writing is not great, and some parts are really cliche (can’t say a ton more without spoilers...) The whole detective sideline story was a little lost on me, but all in all was a good plot that kept some element of surprise throughout.
