My fav toxic duo back at it again <3
But being serious, BJ and Magnolia grew quite a bit through this book. Don’t get me wrong they still have so much to work through, but seeing them evolve is beautiful. I can’t wait to continue their story.

I love how much more in depth BJ and Magnolia were explored as characters, particularly the focus on the shared trauma they've been through as well as individual traumas. I feel like prior to this book neither of them really looked their problems in the eye and saw shit for what it was but they started to make some headway in that department here and I was thrilled to see it. Sure, it was messy as well, but doesn't that make it more delicious?
bj ballentine you are my beloved and you are so important btw *blows a kiss for him*

This is just a pet peeve of mine but I really dislike the pregnancy trope, or in this case the miscarriage trope, especially in the way it was used. It added nothing to the overall conclusion of the story and was just thrown in there as a form to give the main couple even more shared trauma. Did not make me root for them more, and was brushed over by all the characters very quickly.Graphic: Toxic relationship, Miscarriage, Blood, and Drug use
