I loved this book SO much. Was really looking forward to it because I knew it would serve as a Phasma sequel, with my favorite characters from it! I was not disappointed at all. I know this serves as a sort of advertisement for Disney's parks (and it really got me because I wanna go meet Vi so bad now) but what I love most about this is how it's a character and community driven story, it felt really unique and contained, almost intimate and in turn it got me very emotional.
Love Delilah S. Dawson's writing. Will 100% be reading more from her.

When I started this book, I did not realize it is pretty much a direct sequel to Phasma (which I have not read). It does its job of building out the world and setting for Galaxy’s Edge, but that’s about it. I’m not very compelled by the sequel trilogy narrative, so the stakes were too low for me (maybe they would be higher if I’d read Phasma?).

read this hoping it would get me excited for a winter trip to Disneyworld and, specifically, Galaxy’s Edge. While it did initially do that, the plot just didn’t grab me. I did like the storyline for Archex,

I know this book is part of a promotional campaign for the Disney theme park, but honestly it sets up such a good space for stories about characters on the fringe of things and I really love that about it.  And I liked revisiting characters from the author's other book, Phasma

I was a bit hesitant about a Star Wars book that's a tie-in to the theme park, but I should have trusted Delilah Dawson to deliver, because deliver she did. This was a fantastic follow-up to Phasma, and continues the adventures of Vi Moradi and Archex/Cardinal. There ARE a few parts where you can tell it's a tie-in, because they spend a lot of time talking about various shops, restaurants, and drinks available in Black Spire Outpost. But, it wasn't too bad and didn't disrupt the story, so I didn't really mind it. And the story was good enough that I can forgive it.
