This was such a fun read! It was a little chaotic but I loved the urban fantasy/dark academia mix that this had going on. I also really loved Dorian and all his emo glory! I especially loved his attitude towards his students, a little gruff but kind and just wanting them to be prepared for their magic permit testing (and maybe trying to keep them from getting murdered). Another thing that I really liked about this was Dorian and Milo’s relationship and the Finn shaped grief that kept them apart for so long. They were kind of a mess and had a lot of issues but they worked so well together once they let themselves be happy. Three Meant To Be is getting a solid four stars! I can’t wait to read the next one 😊
Graphic: Death, Mental illness, Violence, Blood, Grief, Medical trauma, Murder, and Injury/Injury detail
Moderate: Emotional abuse, Death of parent, Gaslighting, and Alcohol

Bought this while it was on sale and it definitely was worth reading if you like queer fantasy. The world building/setting was great! I wasn’t sure what to expect since I prefer going in blind and this was definitely the vibes I was hoping for.
It was a great take on a magic school, reading from the professors point of view rather than a students put a great twist onto things. Getting to know about the magic system and how it affected the characters was very enjoyable.

⠂⠄⠄⠂⠁⠁⠂⠄⠄⠂⠁⠁⠂⠄⠄⠂ ⠂⠄⠄⠂☆ Story Review 5/5
I thoroughly enjoyed how effortless the world building is in this book, it’s a whole new world but it’s not all info-dumped on you at once. You’re introduced to the world slowly, learning about it throughout the book but never left wondering what something means or what’s going on.
He did an amazing job writing about school life, the teens feel real, and their internal thoughts feel spot on and are sometimes hilarious. Gael and his cock are the perfect comic relief. The growth of all the students throughout this book is *chef's kiss*.
The story is great, Dorian is a grumpy telepathic teacher who wants to do his best for his students (and of course the admin have just announced changes that make his job harder). And then we have Chenelle, a bubbly teacher friend and Milo the (also pretty bubbly) clairvoyant love interest. Through a kiss Dorian glimpses a vision of one of his students dying and he must figure out how to prevent the vision from becoming reality.
I received an ARC for free and this is an honest review.

Kirt did a great job with the narration of this book, he really brought Dorian, the kids and all the other characters to life!
The biggest reason this is a 4 and not a 5 because if you've never read the book, with actual words, I feel like it would be hard to tell when he's narrating Dorian's hearing other peoples' thoughts. Which leads to the second reason it's a solid four, some of the voices sound very similar and it took me a second to figure out who was talking.
I still highly recommend the audio (which is available exclusively through Hoof & Fang at the time of writing this review)
