While the story was one of friendship and business partners, it's a
Sam clearly has untreated PTSD, and possibly even autistic, and Sadie spends 60% of the book being upset with him, whilst not understanding him.
I found Sadie's chapters to be something I was dreading, and hoping they would pass quickly. She is hyper critical, and is unwilling to see anyone else's POV.
This book didn't have to be some grand love story, but it wasn't even close. It was sorely lacking a true wrap up. If there was a sequel to this, it is one I woul pass.
Rating higher, because it was so eloquently written, and touches on so many issues within society, and did have some hopeful insights.

Triggers are either actively in there or suggested somewhere throughout the book. I honestly might have missed some but I really enjoyed this book and its depiction of the years shown and how Zevin’s characters lived through those times.lahars_little_library's review against another edition
