This story contained so many different elements that made me feel every type of way. Joy, anger, sadness. All of it.
Although Sam and Sadie's fate might not be what I had hoped, their relationship is very realistic, painfully so.
As a big fan of both video games and books (especially books about video games), this was the perfect balance. If you liked this book, I would recommend Ready Player One by Ernest Cline.

The life of a gamer. I enjoyed the friendships in this book and the game descriptions. I especially liked Friendship and its Oregon Trail vibes and the way they integrated gaming into the narrative of societal norms.  The story included a lot of grief and upheaval, too. From beginning to end, it was a roller coaster of emotion.
