This was a really solid 3-star read for me, but I threw in that extra star for the inclusivity. Honestly, there’s nothing more exciting to me than an average book full of diverse and well-represented characters. It’s so refreshing when a book that’s not centered on gender or race still makes a point to reflect and celebrate our diverse society, ya know what i’m saying? Also, huge bonus for not using gendered language to describe an unknown killer. Referring to unknown killers as “he” in crime stories never fails to irk me.

Weak 3 stars. Intriguing, but the dialogue is a bit hamfisted at times and some of the character portrayals feel forced and unnatural at times.

Sacando cálculos, me debo haber leído este libro en unas seis horas. Lo empecé ayer en la tarde y lo terminé hoy en la mañana, porque LITERALMENTE NO PODÍA PARAR DE LEER.
Qué decir excepto que, cómo fan de las historias turbias sobre asesinos en serie, esto es todo lo que podría soñar. Todo el morbo del género mezclado con un romance gay? La fórmula perfecta. Amé la dinámica entre los protagonistas, quienes tienen un química maravillosa y, además, se respetan y apoyan mutuamente. S O Ñ A D O. También me gustaron mucho nuestros personajes secundarios y el hecho que, aunque esta es claramente una historia protagonizada por hombres, no faltan las mujeres fuertes e interesantes.
El misterio me tiene intrigadísima y el romance en fuego, así que me voy directo al libro dos.

Great writing, intriguing mystery, and a swoony mature romance – just pure fun!
Main characters are great – they’re sketched out just enough to hook you on, but you’re not overwhelmed with tons of exposition. Background characters are lovely, too.
I polished it off in one sitting, not realizing how time got away from me. Incredibly engrossing, with an almost cinematic feel to it (would’ve made for an awesome tv-show), Kill Game is my next favorite action-packed blockbuster-y romance.
