An exceptional book that looks at all the monsters from my favorite TV show.

This could have been an interesting read. But if you are going to try and write it as Sam and Dean you need to atleast make it sound like them.

Takes place during the second season so far from complete for current fans. The reading level send to indicate the target audience is third graders while the content is considerably above that on occasion. Also, the narrator is undermined. At the beginning, it implies that he is either Sam or Dean but at other times that he is someone else, or somehow both. Overall, poorly written for whomever the target audience is; outside of die-hard fans I don't see anyone enjoying this, and probably not even them. I could barely finish it, and wouldn't have if it hadn't been so short.

I skimmed a bit, mostly just the parts taken from John Winchester's journal (I had already read that) and then the lists of herbs, demons, etc.

It's an interesting/okay read if you're a Supernatural fan.

I've recently fallen in love with fictional nonfiction books. Obviously based off the wonderful hit show, Supernatural, this book is great mixture of fun and creepy. I highly enjoyed reading it from Sam and Dean's point of view and enjoyed the excerpts from their father's journal and other works.

Harder to get through than I thought it would be. I won't be re-reading it anytime soon

This book is a look at the creatures behind the stories shown on the series. Unfortunately I found this book to be a tad slow, although the premise was very well thought out. It is written as if Dean (and sometimes Sam) are writing a guidebook to help other hunters, using information from their father's notebooks.

It probably serves better as a fanfiction guide than anything else, going into some detail about the various types of creatures that Sam and Dean and John and Bobby have run into over their years as hunters.
