If I could give this book a thousand stars, it would deserve each and every one of them. Betrayed By Beauty is the fourth book in the Heaven's Guardians MC series, and it tells the story of Maddox (aka Angel), his on-again/off-again boyfriend, Jax, and newcomer Oakley. Through alot of heartache, these 3 characters really come together and find themselves needing each other more than they ever knew. It's really a great story of second chances and new beginnings. Be warned...this book is an MMF romance, so there's some explicit lovin' goin' on, but the author builds up so much feeling and emotion before we get even there. Now, I knew Angel's story was going to be different...and I knew it was going to be tough to read...but I did not know that I would fall so much more in love with the men of Heaven's Guardians than I already was. When it comes to the supporting cast, I feel like I know these characters personally because I've been following the author and this series from the release of the very first book. But there is so much acceptance of who Angel is by this group of OTP alphas shown in this story. The author provides a brilliant portrayal of what real family should be. For fans of the series, we finally get a glimpse into where the author is taking us on Demon's journey...and I can't wait for that ride!

I lost interest before page 170, where I actually stopped, but I was wanting to give it a real effort to see it through. However, when chapter 19 started with a homophobic slur and there was another one a couple pages later, it wasn’t worth it. There was no reason for the use of the slur either. Dude was mad and could have called other dude any other name.
Aside from this, the plot didn’t flow smoothly. I know it’s fast paced but its like “I just met this person and even though I clearly have trauma, I’m going to immediately trust them”. It just doesn’t make sense and it doesn’t feel like an instant connection. It feels like a forced connection. The trauma in this book, in the way it was used, just didn’t feel right either.
