3.5, prison storyline is the highlight & kanna’s escapade from the police is engaging enough. shogun has aged well

I really enjoyed the first few volumes of 20th century boys, but once the fifth and sixth volumes began to diverge from the original cast and main plot point I started to become less interested in what was going on, honestly I can’t really be bothered reading up to 20 volumes just to go on a bunch of tangents. Maybe I would for a cast I cared a bit more about… Not to say that it wasn’t enjoyable!! I definitely had a great time reading a fun and fast paced mystery, it’s not a genre I often read!! I can’t wait to pick up more manga in the future and find one that I really fall in love with. Might come back to this story if I get too curious about the ending but for now I’ll leave it at that.

Last volume really changed direction midway. This continues to be compelling, but the time jump has left a lot of questions. Ready for the series to get back to the heart of the story.

Not much of what actually happened during the Bloody New Year's Eve. Now, we know that the government is controlling everything in every industry including manga creative industry when a mangaka was captured due to his manga content. This volume has 2 focuses. One being Kanna & her small back alley friends vs the police & another one on the mangaka and what he faces in the jail. We got an intriguing character from the past but I still couldn't point who he was.
