This story is so complex yet it ties back to itself time and time again. I love Allende's ability to take a niche plot line and extend it into something approachable and engaging.

This was a wild ride and at no point did I guess what was going to happen next. It definitely a was a bit longer than I would have liked and dragged at points. Sometimes it felt like the plot was picking up and then suddenly focus shifted to another character and I was pulled out of the story. I thought the premise was cool and Eliza was a great character, I just wish that the pacing and focus were less all over the place.
