Great story that made me really want to find out what happened. Only two things kept me from giving it five stars - the job action of the crew seemed....illegal and I didn't get how they got away it and everyone just accepted it as a 'job action'. I wanted to see Casey confront Marder.

Out of all the antagonists in this book, Al Pacino is surprisingly one of them

Crichton is my favorite - everything I’ve read by him has is easy to read and suspenseful without pee-your-pants-in-darkness fear. This one was no exception. I enjoyed the story line, the characters, the setting, and the timeline! Two of the sub-plots are a woman in a man’s world and the idiocy of the media, which are always fun to read about. However, it was bland. I liked it, but I just felt like something was missing - it didn’t have the zing that Jurassic Park, Prey, and Sphere have.
