I listened to it in Audiobook and it felt very informal and conversational. A lot of RAH RAH YOU GET OUT THERE AND DO IT "BABY" language. Although not thick with useful material, there are some nuggets in here that make sense and I agree wholeheartedly with Poyan's review:

"Key takeaways;
1. Set massive goals (do not reduce them as you write them!) and then take massive action. Attempt to take 10x the action that you would think would be reasonable. Even if you don’t end up reaching that goal, you will still produce more than you would with a lower goal.

2. Obscurity is your biggest issue. Usually talent is not the main thing that will hold you back, but rather obscurity, that people and organisations don’t know of you and what you offer. Talent can be acquired after a deal has been struck.

3. Assume and expect every project will take 10x the resources and put effort into it accordingly. Literally, the amount of resources you think a project will consume, multiply that by ten and that is what is required. "

Great message, lame execution. This book could have been an 20 page pamphlet. It's way too vague and motivational with very little in the way of actionable, specific advice or examples. Everything said here has been said better somewhere else.

This book was a great kick for me. I had been drifting off my life and feeling unmotivated most of the time. This book lit the fire again. This is a must read for anyone who wants their fire back, who wants to achieve more, who wants to live a 10X life. Great read.

About the author: Grant Cardone is a sales training expert who works with companies worldwide and owns three companies of his own. The 10X Rule is his third best-selling book.

My highlights:
The 10X rule means investing ten times more and reaching ten times further. success always requires more effort than you originally thought
It’s much more desirable to fail to meet an incredibly high expectation than to attain a mediocre goal.
When faced with a challenge, go all out. just make massive action your natural habit
Wanting to be average means thinking only about getting by, perhaps thinking about tomorrow or the day after, but not any further.The danger here is that average can sink to below average very quickly.
To get the biggest results, you have to go all-in. To succeed against such odds, you have to be obsessed with your goals; they have to dominate your thoughts and become your mission.
When others see how obsessed you are, they’ll be prepared to follow you on your journey to realize your wildly ambitious goals. On the other hand, if you fail to show this devotion, they’ll be unlikely to believe in your optimism.
Strive for growth and stay in control of your time and feelings. the road to success is paved with growth and it’s better to fail while fighting than while retreating.

This guy’s enthusiasm is both off-putting and contagious at the same time. And that’s just the way he likes it.
It took me a while to get into this book. Maybe it was the style or the way he wrote the first few chapters, but it felt like I was trudging through the first few chapters. And maaaayyybbe I was a little scared of the book at first. He was driving the point home that you have to work harder, 10 times more, than everyone else to be successful. And oh goodness, I felt scared and intimidated. But once I hit chapter 5, though, it was a great ride. There are chapters that I would go back to over and over. I really enjoyed it and would recommend it, so long as you can handle his go-getter-ness. It is contagious if you let it be!
