I liked the premise of the book, and the initial execution, but overall there was simply too much going on at once, including:
  • A bajillion cousins
  • A bajillion bodyguards
  • Secret relationship PLUS family drama PLUS fundraising PLUS media pressure PLUS additions PLUS weird codependency that gets flagged as incest??

There were some scenes between Farrow and Maximoff that were compelling vignettes, but the overarching story was tough to get into because of how crowded it was; and then the incest accusation coming out of left field was really out of character for this tight-knit family used to dealing with media rumors, ugly statements about their sex lives, and gossip. The fact that all their parents believed the rumor was so yucky, and honestly shook all the rest of my enjoyment away.

Had this just been about one famous family and their bodyguards, and had the reason for Farrow and Maximoff coming out to his family been less distressing and out of character,
I would have enjoyed it more.

5 out of 5 ☆’s.

“I'm watched and observed all the time. By strangers. By cameramen. By people. And never, never have I come undone. Until now, until his eyes feel like hands, and I want them all over me.”

I’m so happy that I took the time to reread this masterpiece! I missed Moffy + Farrow so much & going back to where it all began for them made me nostalgic. :’)

I had a feeling I would love this book the moment I read the blurb. Little did I know, that by page 200, I would already be ordering the next 5 in the series.

I read this book in one sitting and I absolutely loved it. The characters just felt so real. Wile there is definitely some cheesy romance, it felt like something you would see in real life.

Unlike most romance novels, it was clear this was building a world and extensive cast. So there was a lot of background details and information, but I just ate up the world they created.

It was light hearted but not fake, honest and cute, and the spicy was great too!

Over all, just a fantastic read.

Let's be honest I only read this book because a friend kept talking about how much they loved it. I went in with low expectations and was quickly consumed with the story. I really enjoyed this book. I thought this book was the perfect amount of romantic plot and steamy sex. I'm not one for super smutty books with "vulgar" descriptions but I thought this book did well to describe the sex scenes without going too far. I also liked that the book was dual POV so we got to see everything for Farrow's and Maximoff's POVs. I can't wait to see what is next for Maximoff and Farrow.
