Più 4 stelline e mezze che 4 ma, visto che non si possono mettere le mezze stelline, ci accontentiamo.

I gave up after reading 32% because I could not stand to read and/or listen to any more of the book. It was boring and was stopping me from enjoying reading.

Hmm, mixed feelings. I didn't enjoy this one as much as Clockwork Angel. The love triangle situation was definitely very frustrating, and that brought the rating and enjoyment of the book down for me.

What I particularly liked about this book: They went to York! It is always great to hear about characters going to a place familiar to you, so I really enjoyed that part, for personal reasons obviously. I also love the relationship between Will and Jem. They are adorable, and I am always happy to read about close friendships - I think they are often overlooked in books that are focused on romance as much as this one was.

“We live and breathe words. .... It was books that made me feel that perhaps I was not completely alone. They could be honest with me, and I with them. Reading your words, what you wrote, how you were lonely sometimes and afraid, but always brave; the way you saw the world, its colors and textures and sounds, I felt--I felt the way you thought, hoped, felt, dreamt. I felt I was dreaming and thinking and feeling with you. I dreamed what you dreamed, wanted what you wanted--and then I realized that truly I just wanted you.”

This took me 33 days. I can't even explain how sad I was, because I just hadn't had time to read. On the other side, I was kind of glad, too. I got to enjoy it longer, which was kind of nice. Reading about Jem longer. That's all I want in life, basically.

I quite liked this plot, because we get to know Tessa more. I mean, I wanted to know where she came from, what she is and we sort of did. We see Tessa growing and she's involved in the Shadow World, which she handles incredibly. We get to know more about Will and his background story, which is very interesting. Jem is as always such a kindhearted soul and I just want to protect him with my life. I'm serious. Stay away from Jem.

Normally I'm not really the right person for love-triangles, but this one is AMAZING and I am so not complaining. Clare writes it perfectly. With perfectly I mean I can't choose between the two boys. I want them both to end up with Tessa. It's a difficult world, y'all.

I love the quotes in this book and the literature and poetry. Tessa and Will both love poetry and literature and it's so amazing to learn more about that. Jem loves music and I love Jem.
Everything is perfectly balanced out together. Like, I still don't know who to ship. Wessa? Or Jessa? My heart says Jessa. My mind says Wessa. I DON'T KNOW.

I adore Clare's writing, because she describes her characters beautifully. There's diversity in her books and feminism, I mean, look at Charlotte and Tessa.

I'm not ready for Clockwork Princess. One thing's for sure: I will probably read all of Clare's books.

I just realized I'm reading these for Magnus Bane content only.

First off, this book was so much better than the first, however I still don’t feel like it’s super interesting. The only thing keeping me reading is the characters because I love them all (except Jessamine) and I think their own individual stories are interesting and compelling enough to keep me reading.

The story as a whole is boring as sin in my opinion. I couldn’t really care less about Mortmain and his wrongdoings or the Lightwoods (except Gideon, we love Gideon in this house) and I feel like it’s just generally a weak overall story.

I’d honestly just rather read a book about the Institute and the residents than be bored to tears by the overarching story.

Oh my goodness. I was in absolute awe while reading this book. I did realize that reading ANYTHING by Mrs Clare in school is never a good idea. I will have happy attack, or start to cry if I don't. God, and Jem & Tessa's Engagement! I was so Happy I'm not offically team Jem, but I do love Will. This book is easily 5/5 stars
