This was a very interesting and thought provoking concept for a story. The dread built up slowly from the beginning of a mundane workday to one thing after another falling apart for our main character, Joe. The moral issue of a secret research job including unwilling human experiments on remote viewing hangs heavy in the air throughout the plot as Joe and the people around him are forced to question the morality of what they've been working on for so many years when the antennas who used to be everyday people find a way to infiltrate the minds of others. There is a fine line between what's truly happening and the uncertainty of the sanity of those affected, and it was a perfect fit for a horror story. I also appreciated all of the questions I had being answered at the end and coming full circle in a way I didn't expect. I do wish the pacing was just a bit faster in some places, but this book was absolutely magnificent, and I highly recommend for any casual horror reader!

Incredible. No notes. I loved the villain, I love the hero, and I loved the bystander. So horrendously messed up, incredible (and disgusting) imagery, phenomenal detail. It had me avoiding the dark corners of my house for days. Such a weird, fucked up concept that I feel is not out of the realm of possibility for the US Government. The ending had me almost in tears, the middle had me gagging, and I was so conflicted in feeling bad for certain characters. Also, I pictured Joe as Matthew McConaughey. I recommend that.

Quick summary: Joe works at a facility that performs human experimentation. His work just followed him home.

I read this booking in one sitting because every chapter left me wondering what would happen next (stressyyyyyy). There were jump scares, plenty of moments were I had no idea if the events were really happening or if they were all in the characters’ heads, and the epilogue was a perfect bow of answers to tie it all together.

A great horror book that won’t leave me so terrified I need a nightlight to sleep. I’ll be recommending it to (aka forcing it upon) my mom and would definitely read again myself.

TW: suicide, gore, human torture
