First I'd like to say that this is nowhere near a horror novel. I would probably characterize it as a sci-fi thriller novel. Although it doesn't quite deliver on the "scary" it is creepy and delivers on the blood and gore. 

I do think the pacing is a bit slow in the beginning, but does pick up towards the end. The reader is also forced to be in the characters position of figuring out what is real and what is a hallucination. Of course, the characters are unlikeable in the sense of their actions in the novel, but their also very nuanced. It's up the interpretation of the readers to decide if the ending was right or not.

Very gory and disturbing, so if that’s what you’re looking for you’re in the right place. Certain parts felt a little predictable and I just don’t think I liked the angle of the experiment. It got confusing towards the end and maybe it was supposed to be like that? Intercepts was good but I probably wouldn’t recommend to my friends.

This was the horror book I’d been looking for that was delivering all the creepy and horrific details of my dreams. If you’re looking to be scared and freaked out at the same time, pick this one!

It’s a gore-fest with body horror, which I’m fine with, and the story concept wasn’t bad. I don’t think it was quite developed enough - there are a lot of places this concept could have gone that I think could have been more interesting. There is a major plot point that I think wasn’t explained well. It’s an acceptable read if you’re into body horror and gore, but I definitely don’t consider this book to be scary.
