I had the opportunity to read and review Canning’s Cryptofauna recently and decided I wanted to read more of his work. This one took about an hour to read in all with plenty of wit and humor to keep me laughing throughout. This collection truly showcases the impressive range of Canning’s imagination and skills.
I really enjoyed all the stories but I feel like the first one, Tumbleweed Apocalypse, was my favorite.
As I was reading, I realized that this collection reminds me a bit of the Futurama episodes with the Professor’s What If machine. Now I feel compelled to move on The Colonel and the Bee onto my TBR!
