I absolutely love Lincoln and Gemma!!! They're perfect for each other omg!!!!

I was honestly expecting a bit more about the villains here tbh... that's my only complain about this.

My least favorite so far. Didn't like Gemma and her lies at all!! Her reasons for lying were ridiculous. Not much action really. Just VERY slow.

Lincoln & Gemma's story. The ladies man who has terrible luck with women, cutting them loose after the usual 3 months. Gemma, Jules little sister who's worked at the office before. She's got herself into a mess of corporate espionage trying to bring a company down for poisoning people with it's chemicals. Threats on her life has her sneaking into the fixer office to secretly stay instead of going home. Lincoln catches her and takes her home to protect her and look into the situation. Building their friendship has them falling for each other a little more. The rest of the team are brought in to help with the case while the two try to keep their relationship a secret. Finally fessing up, the case pulls them closer together and some miscommunication puts them at odds. Great building of the "professionals" universe. We learn more about Finn, Miller, & Bellamy who are in later in the series books. Looking forward to reading them.

so this was disappointing...
I was so excited to read Lincoln story cause he was so charming and seemed really fun in the precedent volumes but he was surprisingly boring here ? how come ?
the first 4 or 5 chapters were so interesting I almost stopped reading.
Gemma mission was great, that was pretty based of her but we had to wait 8 chapters to totally grip what she was really doing so it was kinda getting on my nerves ngl lol (even if I guessed correctly what was really going on early on but anyway).

I did not buy this romance at all, at no moment did I saw them fall in love. I'm sorry but the only thing that was happening between them was horniness. they were cute toward the end but that's it. also not a fan of "falling for the girl I used to know while she was underage" shenanigans. it was a turn off the moment I understood she was gonna be the love interest.

(how come the only black male lead of the series is the only one without a face/picture on the book cover. highly suspicious tbh...)

Didn't feel super connected to this story or these characters, but still a good time.

This 6th book in the Professionals series was another wonderful read. I loved both Gemma and Lincoln so much. Gemma was the little sister that was always off limits, but she is now an adult and the close proximity due to the situation she found herself in, was making it harder and harder for Lincoln to keep things platonic.

Lincoln was a very interesting hero, he had this reputation of jumping into relationships too quickly, but when you learn his history, you can’t help but love him. Gemma, I just adored, she is a free spirit, easy going, has that hippie vibe and she is on a mission to save the environment.
And this is the cause of her current troubles, but luckily she had Lincoln to rely on.

Lincoln and Gemma’s love story was a bit on the slow burn side, mostly due to Lincoln’s hands off mentality, but when danger becomes real for Gemma all those thoughts go out the window.

Overall, The Middle Man was another great read. The chemistry, suspense and, of course, the fantastic epilogue was just awesome.

Another amazing story

It’s no surprise that I absolutely love everything Jessica writes.

Her books are always a fast read for me. I’m so invested in all her characters that I speed through her books. If I’m in a book slump a trip to the Navesink Bank world cures it immediately.

‘The Middle Man’ is book #6 in The Professionals series. This is a slow burn romance. With enough steamy scenes to make me happy.

I love Gemma and Lincoln. They are possibly my favorite couple from this series!

Can’t wait for the next one.
