I am disturbed by this one 😅 this was a unique and fascinating look into grief and how everyone handles it in different ways. Losing a child is the worst thing to happen to a parent and can cause madness in different ways, as I feel this book showed so well between Juliette and Richard. This was eerie, dark, and I felt like I was suffocating in this thick cloud of sadness while reading this. While the writing was beautiful, I did feel it was a little off putting at times, but overall I think this was a fascinating read.

e great unsettling set pieces but the writing style doesn't work for me. It's too spare and restrained for the story.
