4.7 The curious thing about the Peter Grant books is that I always delay reading them because between books, I forget how much I enjoyed the last one. There's an admirable ease with which the mundane and fantastic are twisted through each other, and even some of the barely-fleshed-out background characters are given just enough personality that you end up wishing you could hear more of their stories as well.

Maybe it's the covers? I'm not the right target audience for the stylized maps, so perhaps what's diverting my interest between books is the lack of the right visual memory trigger.

Short novella style book set just after book 5. Good fun read. I’m really looking Peter Grant the magician policeman.

Peter is starting to train his niece in both policing and Latin, as preludes to learning magic.  They go to the subways to find ghosts and end up finding a lot more than they expect.  Fun novella, excellently narrated.

Binge listened in one day due to dog walks and car rides and it was good.

Need to take a Rivers of London pause while I continue to finish [b:Lord of the Rings|5907|The Hobbit (The Lord of the Rings, #0)|J.R.R. The horror.

Fun but went by too quickly to have much of an impact. The perennial problem of novellas.
