I enjoy the artwork in this and parts of the story were really intriguing but on the whole it’s just alright.

Fun little asides to the main plot of the novels that serve to flesh out the world of Rivers of London.

A BMW on a murder spree. The first Rivers of London graphic novel has the same feel and humour. References to the preceding books are included so be sure to read up to Broken Homes first.

A fun graphic adaptation of a series I’m quite fond of.

I thought some of the artwork was a tad awkward (for example, peter looks like he’s doing a flying disco move when he and Guleed leap away from the car that’s trying to kill them in the junkyard.) I also thought some of the panels / scenes were repeated unnecessarily. Why, for example, do we waste space showing the paisley-scarf chase scene twice?)

But these are tiny tiny glitches in what’s overall a delightful story. I adored the mini-stories at the very end, especially “Urgent Summons.” SO GOOD
