Pippi Longstocking has moved into Villa Villekulla with her horse and Mr. Nilsson (her pet monkey). She lives next door to Tommy and Annika, and quickly becomes friends with them. Pippi gets into many situations because of her youthful naivety.

Clearly meant for children...as an adult I was too irritated to enjoy it!

This was a childhood favourite of mine and I've read it then in German. I re-read this in English and was just as fun but maybe didn't feel the same anymore as it used to.

But all I can say is that Pippi is a strong and funny female character - and you can always rely on her.

The best part? Everyday is fun with her! It never gets boring.. perhaps she doesn't know that word, hey?

I never liked this book growing up. Pippi was weird and I thought her life was heart-breaking. And as an adult, I am still sad for her :(

To knjigo sem prebrala že zelo dolgo nazaj, ko sem bila še mala punčka, vendar se spomnim, da mi je takrat bila ena izmed ljubših knjig. Mogoče pa jo bom v kratkem spet prebrala.

I read this book a long time ago, when I was still a little girl, but I remember it being one of my favorite books back then. Maybe I'll re-read it again soon.
