Crichton strikes again.
Quite an interesting way to look back at history. Crichton has done it again! A good and thought provoking read.

I've adored the last three or four Michael Crichton novels I've read so it's no surprise that I am a huge fan of Timeline. I also appreciate that Crichton took on a different type of tech, and took a new spin on how that tech might be used.
And while I try desperately to remember these novels are fiction, I also find myself wondering a lot about my misconceptions about what the middle ages might've been like. Crichton has a special skill for making all kinds of science fiction seem like non-fiction.
As for this book in particular, time travel is more outlandish than, say, genetically modified plants, so I was able to read it as more fiction. I loved what a badass the characters were in their own way. I do think about 75-80% of the way through the action started to get a little repetitive. Kate probably climbed / acrobatted her way across a castle two or three times, there was tons of running away from soldiers while Marek was a badass, etc.
Also around that mark, all of them had been injured at some point, but they keep running! It just felt like it dragged a bit.
All in all, solid read, and I'll be recommending it to any of my friends who like Michael Crichton.

Black hole theories are cool. This book does an ok job sci-fi-ing it.

Felt like it dragged on, just wanted it to end, character development was weak.
