Well damn. Sweet and real and tough and insanely hot. The way it unfolds, everything feels so natural, so real. And the style of writing is witty and perfect for it.

I saw a review that didn't quite believe in Derrick as a character and I get that he wasn't as attractive as Ginsberg. But as much as I wish I had been more like Ginsberg when younger I related more to Derrick - feeling stuck and just drifting as a way of not making hard choices. And then having to come to terms with those non-choices. So I get Derrick, as much as an ass as he is. And grateful for how he changes because it gives hope to the idea of change being possible for anyone.

This was bizarrely homophobic for a m/m romance and transphobic to boot. Wtf?

Solid 3 stars - loved the premise, but some of the character development and conflict felt off.

Pretty damn adorable once it got past how much of a dick Derrick was.
