I usually like Meg Cabot's books but i loved this cozy mystery. It's got all the elements of a good cozy: the quaint small town, the quirky and likeable cast of characters, a librarian and a sheriff, and a mystery to solve.
The characters are likeable and relatable, the mystery is full of twists and turns and the humour made ma laugh more than once.
I hope to read soon other books featuring these characters and a good mystery.
Highly enjoyable and recommended.
Many thanks to the publisher and Netgalley for this ARC, all opinions are mine.

Um well ... idk what happened to Meg Cabot but this book was rather bad.

I did not finish it because it honestly seemed to be dragging and going no where. It was rather elementary and just NOT GOOD.

I tried reading fast to get through it quicker, but it was just not worth it.

First off I’m not a huge fan of when boos are told in the third person. It appears more childish to me. I may you have liked this book if I was a tween maybe? But I haven’t gotten through the second half so I don’t know if it would be appropriate.

I saw other people review it and give low ratings but I was hoping they were wrong! NOPE!! Jokes on me!!

So disappointed in this one :/

My first Meg Cabot book. I would have liked the plot to lean more into the mystery and build up of chemistry between Molly and John. Author's attempts to "stay woke" and "modern" within the dialogue and characters became redundant to the point of annoyance. Relied heavily on telling the reader versus showing us plot and personality.

This is a pretty light-hearted romance that is a super easy read. The romance is the main focus with some crime-focused plots as well. I would recommend to anyone who is looking for a fast, but interesting romance.
