I seem to have read three books almost in a row about children/couples getting kidnapped and then having a non-conventional relationship after it. This one has 3 parts, and it seemed overlong, but entertaining and with decent love/sex scenes.

I enjoyed this book. I thought it had a good story line. It is a sexy, sensual read. I am hooked and ready to enjoy the second book. I received this book from Netgalley in exchange for my honest opinion.

Wonderfully broken.

I truly don't know how she does it. I have read a lot of the Stark novels and fell in love with that world. So I knew that in line with those novels that there would be a lot of amazing, but complicated and broken characters in this series and she did not let me down. But oh my word how she tore me up. In all of the Stark novels I didn't care that the story line continued on into another book. But when I read this book my heart shattered. I wanted Dallas and Jane to have their HEA, for everything to be wrapped up and tied in a neat bow and on to the next part of their life for the next book. I wanted all the secrets to be out. But J. Kenner doesn't do that and for that I dual hate and love her lol. This book was so well written and thought out my brain is running around trying to figure out who did it and why, how are Dallas and Jane going to be together. I just don't want to have to wait to figure it all out..
So stinking good!
Happy reading 🍷🌃👪📚

Spent literally half of the book building up to the story. It was unnecessary and boring.

Holy wow! This was awesomely intense, passionate, and erotic. I don't even know what to say or how to explain what I'm feeling but I pretty much inhaled it. Fantastic story I couldn't put down. Loved it!

I don't normally read anything with the word "taboo" involved because I'm a chicken like that, but I love J. Kenner so I decided to go for it. I was not disappointed. Everything was so well developed with this great build that had me on the edge of my seat. When I got to that taboo thing, yup, I totally freaked out! But I trusted in the author - and I am so glad I did - because it was explained and I was good to go. I got an amazing, full story, that was well crafted. It was full of passion with strong characters who are scarred and have a lot of secrets. It was beyond great!

The story has this powerful build. Not in your face, but this low key feeling that was under my skin, making me get wrapped up in the lives of Dallas and Jane. It was awesome. Loved the character development as their histories are revealed. It was captivating, heartbreaking, loving, and sensual. I had so many questions. Some were answered but not all. I cannot wait for the next book!

Loved the characters involved. Dallas is sexy and commanding but so scarred and broken. I loved every single bit of insight into him. Jane was a wonderful woman. I loved her strength. There is this insatiable need between the two. This crazy want and desire that they fight. This push and pull that creates this amazing build full of need was crazy. There is this level of eroticism happening that I can't explain because it's so understated but it packs a powerful punch.

The writing was superb. Loved the changing POV's and how their past was recounted. There are so many well thought out, well connected details. I love all those elements, they really drew me in. There is this great mystery-suspense element happening as well and I just didn't want it to end.

I just need more. That's all there is to it. I am so glad I stepped outside of my box and tried something new because J. Kenner created an intense world full of want, need, and mystery that I can't get enough of.

This story seems to be a spinoff from The Stark Collection series. And having never read anything from the series before hand, I was a bit confused since when it started I didn't know what point of view was being given. You have "The King Of F***" who has some demons to battle and a stepsister who is battling her love for her "brother". The relationship between them both is very complicated and interesting at the same time the intimate scenes are dirty and well written. What is the dirtiest secret you ask? Well I cannot let it out but just be forewarned that the story does continue in a second book as this is a trilogy. This story has some sex mixed in with some suspense and it was enjoyable . The issues between these two was a bit short for me and I think Jane could have made Dallas jump through some hoops but that's just me. This was not too much my cup of tea but I do give it 3 1/2 stars

I've been wanting to read J Kenner for a while now, so this new series was the perfect time to dive into my very first one, and oh my, I was not disappointed. Far from it in fact. Dirtiest Secret was the hottest book I have read in a very long time, and I loved the taboo aspect to it. In all honesty, I loved every aspect to the book. The plot, the writing, the characters, the intense heat, the passion, the heartbreak...I loved it all.

I just can't resist a book with a taboo storyline, and Dirtiest Secret is very taboo. So. Damn. Sexy. It has a dark edge, the characters are scarred, and you might not agree with what they do, but man, the attraction, the pain, the love, I could feel it all in huge bursting waves. Everything these characters went through, it was as though I as the reader went through it too.

I've already used the word "intense" but that's exactly what this book: a seriously intense and addictive ride. I am in desperate need for both the next books in this series, which release later in the year, so I can find out what happens next with Dallas and Jane. This is one of those storylines where if every book in the series was already out, I would sit and binge-read the entire thing from beginning to end. It was just that good!! Bring on Hottest Mess in July!
