Love this book, having reread it for the first time, I'm still not really a fan of the fact that Richelle decided to have Adrian's POV brought in after it has been Sydney's POV for the last three. Yes, Adrian had some funny moments when I was in his head, but I still think it should had been just Sydney's POV. Or that Richelle should had put him in the first book along with Sydney.

Phew. I'm at loss for words, really. Just as a precaution: This review probably will not be spoiler-free (seeing as I'll likely forget to tag it as such). Now obviously, being the big Richelle Mead fan that I am, I was super excited for this book. If you've read my other reviews of the Bloodlines-Series, you also know that I'm not Sydney Sage's biggest fan. One of these two observations are no longer correct, after having read this book. And I'll let you know that I have already preordered two of Richelle's books, so...

I love Adrian Ivashkov, no doubt about it. And since I've recently started liking Sydney as well, this was really just one big praline (praline pecan!) for me. There were some rather depressing parts of course, but I think all these nice scenes, the progress that was made, the character development, the pacing... well, I basically loved everything about it! (Except for that ending. Gosh, does Richelle know how to keep her readers on the edge of their seat or what?)

I literally can't wait for Silver Shadows (and yes, I'm aware I used "literally" wrong). There is not much I can say at this point except that I want mooooore. More. Now, please. If you haven't yet read this series or the Vampire Academy series (which would mean that you shouldn't even be reading this review because of spoilers!), then you definitely should. If only so that I can annoy you with constant blabbering about how this whole mess we were left with might be sorted out. And I don't think I ever wanted to kick a 15-year-old down a deep, empty well.

”The center will hold.”

This is probably my favorite book in the series, I love the forbidden love/secret relationship thing going on and the angst that comes from it

Couldn't ask for a better book about my two favorites fiction characters right now. I have to admit I adore Sydney and Adrian's relationship better than Rose and Dimitri's. Even though I liked Rose and Dimitri's story better, they had more enticing action scenes I think, I typically am still enthralled by the Bloodlines series so far.

There were huge leaps and bounds made in this book, relating to vampire and alchemist discoveries, and ah hem, bodies ;) You wouldn't think you were reading about the same Sydney comparing this book to the first, and I like her SO much better this way!

Extremely excited to see what Richelle Mead has in store for my beloved characters!
