This hero was so incredibly frustrating because of all his slut shaming. I know the book was generally trying to point out that shaming a woman for choosing to be a stripper and/or server at a strip club is bad, which I appreciated, but the fact that the hero goes on and on about how terrible it was that the heroine had done that work...ick. And he takes way too long to come around, and then his apology is not all that great. Nope nope nope, you aren't a hero and you deserved to be kicked to the curb, buddy. I just couldn't get past his behavior--he certainly never redeemed himself in my eyes. I'm enjoying the series, but this book didn't work for me.

I am coming to the conclusion that Janie Crouch hates men. And has little respect for women.

Why else would she write such awful men... and women, who appear to have a relatively good level of self-esteem just to have it knocked out of them? I know that self-esteem can be a balancing act... but, please. I don't think that she could've functioned and contributed in a high-level analytical job if she didn't. Walls are there for a reason and dickface proved that.

I continue in the search for some kind of validation in my need to read these...

Oh, and Steve was a dick for not telling her about Fleival... or whatever his name is. Knowledge is everything.

And where oh where has Jon Hatton vanished to? Everyone else has been mentioned...

Fast paced action/mystery; I did NOT guess the killer (always a plus in my book!), good romance; fade to black sex scenes

How did I miss the middle two books in this series? ([b:Fully Committed|25986854|Fully Committed (Omega Sector Critical Response #2)|Janie Crouch|https://d.gr-assets.com/books/1445053723s/25986854.jpg|45899565] and [b:Armored Attraction|28188394|Armored Attraction (Omega Sector Critical Response, #3)|Janie Crouch|https://d.gr-assets.com/books/1454889628s/28188394.jpg|48210745])? Must. Fix. Soon.

Man of Action is another race against time to find a killer (ahem...killers!)--with just enough of a romance to satisfy. The killer wasn't obvious, though I did manage to figure it out ahead of the characters...which had me screaming No! Don't do it! when Andrea came across the real baddie while Brandon and the others thought they had the perp in custody. Man, talk about stress...and then things get even worse.

Yeah, so the "suspense" part of this romantic suspense clearly knows its stuff.

I loved that Brandon was able to bring Andrea out of her self-imposed ice shell, and that Andrea returned the favor by helping Brandon to depend on a partner again (his last one--also his best friend--had died from cancer a year earlier). They came from wildly different backgrounds--something Andrea was especially sensitive about--but their relationship really worked. Brandon did make me get all growly for a bit (even though he knows what he's thinking/feeling isn't right, he keeps on keeping on--grrrrr) but fortunately two of the secondary characters helped him to get his head out of his butt before it was too late.

Which helps the "romantic" part also have a check mark. :)

There isn't a cliffhanger ending, though there is a loose end left running around--literally--which means I'm going to have my eyes peeled for book #5. Fingers crossed that it'll be soon!
