I liked the book but I HATED that it wasn't longer. It ended way to abruptly in my opinion... I would have loved to stay with the characters a bit longer... maybe we get a second book..
also the book could have been gayer

Such a fun take on the Arthurian mythos, even if the story is set 100 years after Arthur's death - great if you're looking for a light and easy medieval romcom to read on your holidays!
Graphic: Alcoholism, Hate crime, Mental illness, Sexism, Outing, and War

God I loved this book. I just wanted more of it. Lex Croucher writes romance like no one else. One of the kissing scenes made me genuinely burst into tears. The characters were somehow all my favourite but I think Gwen will always have a special place in my heart. She’s very autistic coded and I really saw my younger self in her. It’s so wonderful to read a queer historical story that’s so full of hope and yet still feels grounded and meaningful. I would read about these six idiots for the rest of time.
Moderate: Alcoholism, Violence, Death of parent, Alcohol, War, and Injury/Injury detail
Minor: Child abuse, Emotional abuse, Homophobia, Mental illness, Sexism, Toxic relationship, Vomit, Grief, Religious bigotry, Death of parent, and Lesbophobia

this was a cute and fun read!! i think we should make all of history gay lol
Gwen & Art Are Not In Love was pretty predictable, but the last few chapters hooked me in! i want more of Bridget pls 👀 i also appreciate that the author made multiple characters people of color without it being a big scandal.
thank you to NetGalley & Wednesday Books for the eARC of Gwen & Art Are Not In Love!
