Sally Rooney captures interpersonal relationships so well, I love reading her writing. Her books always make me wish that I communicated with my friends through email.Â
Felix was a great character, he was very funny and seemed to be the only one asking any sensible questions. Simon had a kinda freudian thing going on, he needs to get over that and his savior complex.Â

This book, like any other Sally Rooney's, isn't for everybody.
However I cannot recommend this book enough if you're into her style. I've marked a lot of passages because they were either relatable or really reflective. It is also hopeful, kinda, and even though nothing happens in the book, it still amazed me and kept me engaged from the beginning till the end.Â

I’m a big fan of Sally Rooney’s work and this did not disappoint. I was very pleased to see her engaging with her typical topics of relationships, millennial ennui, genius, philosophy, religion, etc with more nuanced discussions of privilege and mental health than her last two books. At times, the email format flattened the character voices but all in all I found this to be a really thought provoking, validating, and engaging read.Â
