I've been looking for something similar to this online, and hadn't found anything - happened upon this one in my library, and I'm so glad I did! The exercises are all explained well, and simply, with photos of real people performing the exercise as well as my favorite feature, an illustration of the exercise being performed that highlights each of the muscles used.

This focuses on core training (in case that wasn't obvious!), but since most of the moves are pilates-based, they work the entire body (though I would still love to see a similar book that focuses on arms and legs). Most of the exercises can be done without equipment, but a few do involve one of the following: chair, weighted ball, towel, foam roller.

There's an appendix which gives three sample workouts, which is helpful for a beginner like me who doesn't yet know how to mix and match well. My only complaint is that each of the workouts include several exercises that involve equipment - I would have liked to see at least one workout with no equipment, since I don't have access to things like a foam roller or weighted ball.

All in all, a great reference that I will probably be using over and over!
