This book provides a great look into living with chronic pain and illnesses through the lens of Priya who suffers the consequences of contracting Lyme disease. I really like the supernatural spin on everything with Brigid's lycanthropy and treating it just like another medical condition. There are jokes of flirtation between Priya and Spencer, but it's so refreshing that the three just stayed friends throughout the course of the novel.

Plus 10 stars for referencing the Nancy Drew computer games that I didn't think anyone else but me remembered/played.

A YA werewolf novel that covers chronic pain & illness was an unexpected combo but a very enjoyable one. The back blurb caught my attention with the mention of a werewolf named Brigid, as that marked a clear bit of inspiration taken from Ginger Snaps. There are definitely similarities in some plot elements but this book is far more light hearted and I would recommend checking it for a unique take on werewolves.

Decent read, I can see people's issues with the way some of the characters are written, but it's a good, harmless book for afternoon reading
