3.5 stars, rounding up.
I had to think about what to rate this one. I had a difficult time understanding the tech talk. There wasn't enough explanation of the genes and serums. I wanted more of the "outside world." When I thought they were escaping the prison of the Factions, they just entered another environment that was pretty much the same, and I had a hard time following the secondary characters and kept mixing them up.

The tender moments between Tris and Tobias balanced out the annoying moments. I thought about the end for a while, undecided if it was satisfying. It seemed like a pointless death, but then again that was sort of the point. A lot of people die a pointless death, and when you're fighting as much as they were, it was kind of bound of to happen. So it was a realistic outcome. But that I didn't seem to really care all that much feels important.

The narrators were excellent. I could listen to Aaron Stanford and Emma Galivn all day long.

I read Divergent and Insurgent in a few days. It took me 7 months to work up the energy to finish Allegiant. Why? The pacing, the whole story line (lazy!), and the cheap plot twists.

"Hey Brain... Can we Pe-LEAAAASE grab the book and read it untill it is finished?" "But I don't want to..." Hands always had a mind of his own and tried to signal Eyes that they had to distract brain so Hands could sneak the book into the bag. That night, when Brain got reaaally tired at work. They all read the book together and Brain had a fit. Here is how it went (more or less from beginning to start):

Day 1 : YES! Allegiant is here! I was sick trying to find some bootleg PDF files on the internet to beat the (sometimes) slow Book Depository service. I started reading right away and although the words felt familiar, they seemed to be written down in suite a rush because sometimes they just didn't make any sense at all.

Day 2 : And what is up with this dual perspective? Yes I know blablabla Four also gets important and we know that there is a book about four that didn't reaaaallly do as good as hoped, but bitch please. You don't just change the point of view in such a lame way in the third and finishing book of a trilogy. And ESPECIALLY when you can't write the characteristical differences of the two people into the text. They speak the same, they read the same and they are the same. This is bullshit lady. Go read Sisterhood of The Travelling Pants ( Or ASOIAF ) again to learn how to write with the voices of different people.

Day 5. What is this shit? I have been waiting like a dog for this book, you know, the one where they finally went outside of the compound and then you get THIS? I think she overreached it.

Day 6. Oh god. Really? Would have been better if you consulted a scientist first because no ninth grader in the world will believe this gene stuff. FOSHO

Day 10. I don't want to read this. I feel like they are just raping my Tris

Day 15. Haven't touched it and wasn't planning on touching it again ( wow this sounds dirrrrty!)

Day 23. Oh good gracious god. Let's try this again. Hallo book my name is Lieze and... damn girrrl you suck! What did you do to Four?

Day 38. Hey I still have this book?

Day 62. Let's just do this... Let's read this in full and be over with it.

I wish I didn't.

I LOVED the previous books and I was enchanted with the world created. I have the feeling that Roth got bored with it, had to live in it for the past 2 years (also because of the movie) and just decided that she wanted to do something new. But sometimes it's better to just keep with the winning concept and do some new shit in the NEW one. I would have totally forgiven her if her next trilogy sucked balls but you know, this is OUR Tris ...

I'm so disappointed and I have no idea what to read next.
My heart is in shambles
And I don't want it to be broken by a book like this EVER AGAIN

This is one of those endings where I can't decide if I liked it or hated it. I decided to read it because I have friends who read it and said they hated the ending, but never told me why(mainly because I told them not to). I saw the movies but never really got a clear answer as to why the ending sucked(I usually try to read the books first but didn't in this case.. it ended up not mattering because they were so different), then finally decided to read it. I now understand why my friends hated it, but i'm not so sure if I hate it. I can't decide if the ending was one of those "this character's death is a necessary death" situations or not. Maybe I just sped through it so fast that I don't think that I really understood what was going on at the end. I do feel like it is definitely a situation of you either like it or you don't, and the best thing to do would be to read it for yourself to decide.

DNFed at 10% but skimmed through the last 20%. Not worth the read. Divergent was a five star read for me, idk what happened here

Finally had time to finish this book. It took me longer than the other two and I'm not sure why. It was a brilliant end to the series and an awesome book in it's own right. I cannot wait to watch Divergent in the Cinema. When Allegiant comes out, I'm not sure if I will be emotionally ready or not for the end. I'd heard rumours about what was going to happen but hoped they weren't true. You may need a tissue if you are moved easily by books, or if you have fallen in love we these characters.

I recommend this book to anyone who loves a YA dystopian novel, like The Hunger Games, but completely different :D
