Such a bummmerrr cause I had been waiting for this one! Personally I felt like the characters by themselves were not developed enough for me to then care about their romantic feelings for each other as well. I wanted action packed vampire heist and I didn't really feel like I got that :/

I think this one is 3.5 stars... I’m conflicted. The first half of the book was annoyingly full of all the characters noticing sexy details about each other, blushing, and being distracted by each others’ good looks. It felt like I was walking the halls of 8th grade. There was also a lot of unnecessary dialogue and yet constant lying by omission.
The second half was more interesting, with plot twists and character growth. Maybe I’d give it 4 stars. We’ll just settle at 3.75 because StoryGraph lets me.

I enjoyed the author’s interview at the end of the audiobook. Listening to her perspective made me like the book more.

This boom wants to be Six of Crows so badly. While the plot and twists were mildly interesting, the actual characters were half-baked, wishy washy and had dialogue pulled straight out of fan fiction.
