3.5, rounded up. Even though the bargain involved the 12 days of Christmas, it didn't feel like as much of a slog as book 2. I appreciated the tidbits about some of the old gods, but I have to admit that I'm still a little lost in this world. Can we get a glossary guide? I feel like I need a murder board that red strings the connections and timelines for me.

Also, I really wish the names of the books were a little different, so it wouldn't cause some eyebrow-raising on my Goodreads list. I feel like I need to keep my profile PG!

Holly enters into a bargain with Klaus to help her family and ends up with more than she bargains for when Krampus collects Klaus' ridiculous requests. The writing is very enthralling. I liked Holly's community and how they helped her with her tasks. I wasn't expecting much based on the title, but this was a heck of a good time!

I really wanted to love this one, yet I just couldn't. The characters are detailed, as well as the locations, yet I found myself having to re-read paragraphs.

So, it turns out Santa and Krampus are one supernatural God. Holly comes from a family that has ties to the supernatural world. When Holly needs some help, they show up. She is coerced into making a bargain with them/him. 12 days of it.

There are also a few questionable grammar/typo issues I noticed.

"Oh gods."
He chuckles, the dark sound rumbling across my wet skin as he draws back. "No, Holly. Oh god. Only one god makes you feel this way."

Dalia Davies delivers another fantastic read that I devoured in one sitting. Came for the eggnog references, stayed for the phenomenal characters and world building that was added. It was wonderful to see Babel and Easter Eggs (haha) from the series.
